Hi every body. Old friends and new!
There is one among us that has been a very good friend to us all. She came to be my friend by way of Dapme introducing her to the formula on Q. Now she is not even allowed to post there either.
Encouragement should be her first name. And Spirit should be her last.
The issue is, she is wheelchair bound. Some of us may have already known this fact. Others of us may not.
She is in desperate need of a new wheelchair and her insurance company has let her know they will not cover the $800.00 cost of the new chair.
I am asking each of you to think about giving some love back to this beautiful spirit, by way of making some small contribution to a wheelchair fund for her. Any little bit you could contribute would be greatly appreciated. If you will e-mail me directly by clicking on my e-mail address, I will give you the information for you to send what ever you can, directly to her. She just does not want to post her name and address on the internet. You can all understand that I am certain. So e-mail me and I will give you the information and you can all do what ever you can to help her.
She can not even go outside now....And she usually takes her children to the park for studies.
That is all I ask. I am, in a small way, trying to pay back some of the kindness she has shown me in my hours of need lately. I have been blessed with a way to possibly help with this, so if any of you can do anything, anything at all.............Thank you! from myself and from our friend in need.

Hi everyone!
I have been struggling with words that express how much I appreciate what Barbara is doing here for me. I appreciate more than I can say and when I think about it I break down and cry.
Times are so hard for everyone right now and I understand that completely. I hope no one is made to feel awkward by this. I feel awkward enough for all of us! Honestly, I am very embarassed to be in this situation, but so thankful for Barbs generous and kind heart.
It's been a rollercoaster ride with the insurance company regarding my wheelchair. A couple months ago, when I got a bill for it, they said it was a mistake. First part of October I was told I needed a new authorization for it. No problem. My doctor sent one in. That wasn't good enough. Then they wanted another 're-evaluation'. I got that, and the doctor requested further auth of the wheelchair. Monday, when I got home after another stressful doctors appt, there in the mail was a notice from the insurance company that they wouldn't pay the bill for the wheelchair. So I called the 800 number and was told that the coverage limit for my 'equiptment' had been reached and they wouldn't be able to cover it anymore.
All of this is brought about by a knee injury that couldn't be repaired and the surgery actually made it more painful. And the insurance company says I am too young and too heavy for the knee replacement. Well, most of my weight gain is because of the knee injury in the first place and the lack of exercise I got. I am responsible though, because no one shoveled food into my face, but that's a whole 'nuther' story. I can 'hobble' around the house sometimes with, sometimes without a walker, but I cannot leave the house (or my car) without the wheelchair.
Well, I have the chair until Dec 27th. Please, I need your prayers that this will be resolved. I didn't realize how important it is to me to be able to go to the market, go shopping or take my kids to the park for school work on nice days until it's being taken away from me.
Prayers really are answered and sometimes our trials are to make us stronger. I don't know what will happen here but please, when you're saying your prayers... just a little extra one for me and this wheelchair issue.

Honey, please don't beat yourself up about your current situation. I am not that old (only 33), but in my 33 years, I have learned that in this life, you never know what you are going to endure, and you never know who God may place on your path to be a help to you. That is why I believe that it pays to be genuine at all times, even on the internet, because you just never know how God will use your interaction with other people. You never know how you can impact another person, even on a bulletin board, imagine that!
Continue to trust the Lord to see you through this hard time. It would be my honor to keep you in my prayers. It is my honor and privilege to be of assistance, so I know that I can speak atleast for myself when I say that you have absolutely no reason to feel awkward, although I understand that you really don't know any of us. When you think of us here, just thank God for bringing this blessing into your life.

You are so right. None of us knows when we might be the one in need. And what really is astounding is the fact that we all want to lend a helping hand, but we become anxious if someone offers US that same helping hand. Human nature is so full of pitfalls! Let down your guard and let others feel good if they can help in any small way. I think most of us understand that there is a certain amount of *humiliation* when it should really be easy for us to reach out to each other.

I, too, am so pleased that you trust us enough to confide in us.
There is no reason to be embarrassed to ask for help. I pray for
my own health healing every day (actually, several times a day),
so there is plenty of time and room in my prayers to add yours.
Consider it done.
I relate so much to what you are going through. Perhaps
someday you and I can swap stories and blow off steam about
health insurance companies that don't pay for people like us
who are trying to be productive and optimistic in the face of
challenges. I could write a book on this situation! I hope you
aren't feeling any guilt, because it's an issue I am dealing with
and it's miserable. Because of my latest and most dangerous
health crisis, my elderly parents are having to help me at a time
when I should be caring for them. And yes I know what its like to
feel a loss of independence. I used to be athletic, and now
sometimes need to use a cane. I consider it a great day when I
can take a slow walk around the neighborhood!
You sound so committed to your children and giving them such
interesting, stimulating activities, that I pray for the resolution of
the wheelchair situation so you can be out and about with them.
I keep asking God what lessons He wants me to learn this time. I
also keep reminding him I thought I had learned an awful lot
from all those previous challenges, so I was hoping for a little
respite from all of this! But obviously it sounds like each of us
who have met in this group has learned a lot, is learning more,
and will come out even stronger for it.

I will definately do that! Thank you so much for your caring and compassion. And don't worry, I am so hoping this will be a non issue within a couple of weeks. I am just so grateful for your kindness and your support.
I know there are many of you who have helped with prayers and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can feel them taking away some of the burden and frustration that has been so present in my life the past few days.
Thank you for your posts of support and understanding! Barbara has shared with me some of the thoughts and wishes she's gotten in emails. I thank you for those as well! I am so blessed to have you sharing in the trial I am going through. I WILL come out on the other much stronger. I am certainly much more blessed for knowing you, for knowing each and every one of you.
